What is a Kansa Wand?
A Kansa wand is a small dome-shaped tool crafted from Kansa — the sacred bronze alloy of copper, tin and zinc revered in Ayurveda for over 5,000 years. The Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridayam both prescribe Kansa vessels for cooking and healing.
How It Works
When the warm bronze dome glides over the reflex points on your soles, it draws excess Pitta (heat) from the body through the feet — one of the body's most powerful energy gateways. Toxins, inflammation and doshic imbalance are gradually neutralised. Many guests notice the wand turning slightly grey as it pulls out heat — a visible sign of the healing process.
Benefits
- Neutralises excess Pitta (inflammation, heat, irritability)
- Restores doshic balance across Vata, Pitta and Kapha
- Draws out deep-seated toxins through the soles
- Induces profound mental calm and clarity
- Reduces chronic foot pain and neuropathy discomfort
What to Expect
Your session begins with a brief dosha consultation and a warm herbal foot soak. The therapist then works the Kansa wand in slow, rhythmic circles over every zone of your feet for 60 minutes, finishing with a cooling medicated oil application. You may feel a mild warmth followed by deep, spreading calm.
